Cabinet against 10, 12 Board Exams, Final Decision On June 18

The Assam Cabinet on Wednesday [16th June 2021] recommended against conducting the Class 10 and 12 board examinations in the wake of the COVID-19 situation in the state.

However, a final decision regarding the conduct of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary (HS) final exams in Assam will be taken on Friday (June 18) at a meeting between the education department and various other stakeholders.
This was informed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma after a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

Earlier, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma had said that state board exams would be held in mid-July if the COVID-19 positivity rate drops below 2% by July 1.
