OBC Scholarship 2025
Directorate of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Assam has released the official notification of Assam OBC Scholarship Scheme. Basically, these are centrally sponsored scheme of Pre-Matric and Post-Matric scholarships for the students of Assam belonging to Other Backward Class (OBCs) for the academic year 2025-2026.
Interested and eligible candidates may apply online for OBC Scholarship Assam 2025 through National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at www.scholarships.gov.in.

Community: Only OBC Community Students are eligible to apply for the Scholarship.
Citizenship: The scholarships are open to Nationals of India only.
Family Restriction: Only two boys of the same parents/ guardian will be entitled to receive scholarships. This restriction will, however, not apply to girls. Accordingly, scholarship availed by girls of same parents/guardian will not adversely affect admissibility of availing scholarship upto two boys of same parents/guardian.
Income Ceiling: Scholarships will be granted to the OBC students whose parental/guardian's income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs per annum. The income certificate should be obtained only from the Circle Officer of respective Revenue Circle.

How to Apply for OBC Scholarship ?
Candidates need to visit official national scholarship portal https://scholarships.gov.in for submission of online application this scholarship. One needs to follow below mentioned steps to apply online for this scholarship.
Step 1: Scroll down, go to Important Web Links section.
Step 2: Click on One-Time Registration link .
Step 3: A new webpage will be opened.
Step 4: Enter your details as required in the portal; and register yourself.
Step 5: After registration, Click on Online Application Form and Login.
Step 6: Enter all credentials and upload your documents as required in the portal.
Step 7: Finally click on "Submit" and take print out of your submitted application.

# Applicants are advised to give only that bank account details which remains in active mode so that payment of Scholarship does not fail as all the disbursement of Scholarship will be made through DBT mode.
