As all the educational institutes in Assam have remained shut due to the COVID-19 pandemic and nationwide lockdown, education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today [29/04/2020] held a meeting with the Assam College Principal Council and Assam College Teachers Association to prepare a roadmap for higher education.
“We understand it is critical to have a new strategy for higher education in wake of #COVID. To prepare a roadmap, held a meeting with Assam College Principal Council & Assam College Teachers Association along with Pr Secy, Education, B Kalyan Chakraborty & Education Commissioner,” Sarma tweeted.

Earlier, he also held a video conference with the vice chancellor of the universities to discuss ways to ensure that academic year is not lost, and to seek ideas & innovations for the learning & teaching framework.
