Directorate of Educational Research and Training (DERT), Shillong has released the official notification of Meghalaya MTET 2021 or Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test . As per the official notification, the MTET exam is scheduled to be conducted on August 28, 2021
 

Interested and eligible candidates who wants to pursue their career in the field of education and teaching may apply here in both offline and online mode .

Eligibility Criteria of Meghalaya MTET Exam


Resident ship:
Candidates must be citizens of India and also a permanent resident of Meghalaya.

Age Limit: The candidate should not have crossed 32 years of age (relaxable up to 37 years in the case of SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates) as on the first day of the first month of the year in which the advertisement was made.

Educational Qualification:


Paper I (Lower Primary):


Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms & Procedure), Regulations, 2002
OR
Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
OR
Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
OR
Graduation and 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
OR
A person who is pursuing any of the Teacher Education Courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010.

Paper II (Upper Primary):

Graduation and 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1 – year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
OR
Graduation with at least 45% and 1 – year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with NCTE (recognition norms & procedure), regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
OR
Higher Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Se.Ed
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education)
OR
A person who is pursuing any of the Teacher Education Courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010.

Relaxation up to 5 % in the qualifying marks in the minimum Educational Qualification for eligibility shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled.

Application fee for Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test 2021 is as mentioned below

# General:

Paper-I: Rs.300/-
Paper-II: Rs.300/-
Both paper: Rs.600/-

# OBC / SC / ST:
Paper-I: Rs.250/-
Paper-II: Rs.250/-
Both paper: Rs.500/-

# PWD: NIL .

Payment mode: Challan and through online payment (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking).

In addition to offline application mode, the Directorate of Educational Research and Training (DERT), Meghalaya is now allowing Online Application facility for MTET 2021 w.e.f. 13.08.2021 to 31.08.2021.

# Fill your all personal and educational details and upload necessary documents.

# Make payment of application fee as per your category and submit the form.
