Educational Qualification

Post Qualification
Nursing Superintendent Certificate as Registered Nurse and Midwife having passed 3 years course in General Nursing and Midwifery from a school of Nursing or other institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council OR B.Sc Nursing.
Pharmacist (Entry Grade) Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (Allopathic) and registered as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 OR Doctor of Pharmacy.
Radiographer (X-Ray Technician) 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry and Diploma in Radiography / X Ray Technician /Radiodiagnosis Technology (2 years course) from recognized Institute. Science graduates with Diploma in Radiography / X Ray Technician / Radiodiagnosis Technology (2 years course) shall be preferred.
Health & Malaria Inspector Grade-II B.Sc. having studied Chemistry as Main / Optional subject in any branch of Chemistry while undertaking the course. Plus (a) One year Diploma of Health / Sanitary Inspector OR (b) One year National Trade Certificate (NTC) in Health Sanitary Inspector .
Lab Assistant Grade-II 12th (10+2 stage) in Science plus (a) Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) (OR) (b) Certificate Course in Medical Lab. Technology at par with Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT).
Dialysis Technician B.Sc. plus (a) Diploma in Haemodialysis (or) (b) two years satisfactory in-house Training / Experience in Haemodialysis work.
ECG Technician 10+2 / Graduation in Science having Certificate/Diploma/Degree in ECG Laboratory Technology / Cardiology / Cardiology Technician / Cardiology Techniques.
Audiologist & Speech Therapist Bachelor in Audiology, Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) from a recognized University and must be registered with Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
Optometrist B. Sc. In Optometry or Diploma in Ophthalmic Technician (the course should be of 3 to 4 years duration). 

Medical Standard and Fitness

 
Candidates called for Document Verification will have to pass requisite medical fitness test(s) conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that they are medically fit to carry out the duties connected with the post(s) opted for by them. Details are as mentioned below.

Selection Process

 
Candidates applying for the notified posts will have to appear for a Single Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by Document Verification (DV).

The CBT will consist of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions, with four options for each question. The examination will be of 90 minutes duration. However, PwBD/PWD candidates eligible for the Scribe facility will be given 120 minutes to complete the test.

The level of questions in the CBT will generally be based on the educational qualification and/or minimum professional or technical qualification prescribed for the respective post.

Candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification based on their performance and merit in the CBT, subject to fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria and other conditions of the recruitment process. Only candidates who are shortlisted will be called for the Document Verification stage.
 
The CBT will have negative marking. For every wrong answer, 1/3 of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted.

Shortlisting of candidates for Document Verification and final empanelment will be done strictly on the basis of merit and their performance in the CBT, subject to the candidates securing the prescribed minimum qualifying marks for their respective categories.

The minimum qualifying marks are:

  • UR/EWS: 40%
  • OBC (NCL)/SC: 30%
  • ST: 25%
Meeting the minimum qualifying marks alone does not guarantee shortlisting or empanelment. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their CBT merit, subject to the applicable recruitment rules and other eligibility conditions.

Note: 

1. SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC) Candidates: This fee of ₹ 250/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in 1st stage CBT.
2. Others: ₹ 400/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges as applicable, on appearing in 1st stage CBT.
