North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli (Itanagar) has released the official notification of NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) for the academic session 2026 – 2027. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online here for NEE 2026 .
The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) is conducted at three Levels viz., NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III for admissions to Certificate, Degree Courses of Engineering & Technology branches through NEE-II (PCM) Engineering & Technology, 4 years B.Sc. Course in Forestry through NEE-II (PCB) and 4 years B.Sc. Courses in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics through NEE-II (PCM) Science and 4 years BBA course through NEE-II (BBA).

No of seats: 225 + 25
Course: Certificate
Qualifying Exam: Class-X Appeared/ Passed.
2. Entrance Exam: NEE-II (PCM) Engineering & Technology
No of seats: 120+13
Course: B.Tech.
Qualifying Exam: Class-XII (PCM) Appeared/Passed or Class-XII(Voc.)/ITI/NERIST Certificate in the relevant branch/trade (AE/CE/ECE/EE/ME) Appeared/Passed.
3. Entrance Exam: NEE-II (PCM) Science
No of seats: 30 + 03 for each Course
Course: 4 Yrs B.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics
Qualifying Exam: Class-XII (PCM) Appeared/ Passed.
4. Entrance Exam: NEE-II (PCB) Forestry
No of seats: 40 + 04
Course: B.Sc. (Hons.) in Forestry
Qualifying Exam: Class-XII (PCB) Appeared/ Passed.
5. Entrance Exam: NEE-II (BBA)
No of seats: 30 + 03
Course: B.Sc. (Hons.) in Forestry
Qualifying Exam: Class-XII Appeared/ Passed in Arts/Science/Commerce/Any stream or its equivalent with 60% marks for UR/OBC/EWS and 55% marks for SC/ST/PD

Course: B.Sc. (Hons.) in Forestry
