National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) will now allow D.El.Ed courses by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) or and any other NCTE recognized institution for teacher appointment purposes.

He tweeted, “Patna High Court has approved D.El.Ed courses by NIOS and any other NCTE recognized institute, keeping in view the employment purpose. NCTE has accepted the high court’s order.”
On May 14, Pokhriyal announced that the government will respect the Patna High Court order on the NIOS D.EL.Ed teachers.
