Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna has today [20/04/2020] informed that many students have been complaining about the non-availability of textbooks in Assam during this lockdown.
He said that in this regard, the Deputy Commissioners have been asked to identify a few textbook retailers and wholesalers who will be allowed to open shop for three days in a week to cater to the needs of the students.
Chief Secretary addressing a press meet also informed that in the view of the extended lock-down all schools and colleges will remain shut until May 3, 2020 in Assam.
