A Common Entrance Exam (CEE) will be organized for the recruitment of Agniveer posts. Eligibility Criteria of Indian Army Recruitment

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed class 10th examination with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
Note: Candidates with valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) Driving Licenses will be given preference for Driver requirements.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have 10+2 / Intermediate Exam Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class XII is mandatory.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed class 10th examination with having 33% marks in each subject.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed class 8th examination with having 33% marks in each subject.
Age Limit: The age of the candidate should not be less than 17 years 6 months and not more than 22 years. Candidates born between 01 Jul 2005 to 01 Jul 2009 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply under Agnipath Scheme.

Selection Process of Army Agniveer Vacancy
The recruitment process will be conducted in two phases. Phase I will be the Online Common Entrance Exam at Computer Based Test Centres on pan India basis and Phase II will be the Recruitment Rally by AROs at respective Rally Venues.
Phase I (Online CEE)
Name of exam: Common Entrance Examination
Date of exam: June 2026 Onward.
Mode of exam: Online Computer Based Test
Type of questions: Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)
No of questions: 50 questions or 100 questions (as per category of application)
Duration of exam: 60 minutes or 120 minutes (as per category of application)
Negative Marking: 25% of marks will be deducted for the wrong answer for each attempt.
Normalization: Marks scored by the candidates in Online CEE will be Normalized to take into account variation in difficulty levels of the question paper across different sessions.
Phase II (Recruitment Rally)
Proportionate to the vacancies available candidates would be shortlisted by applying a cut-off in written exam results. The Roll No of the candidates who are on merit will be published on the Join Indian Army website. These candidates will receive a second admit card for the balance of the recruitment process as per the Rally Schedule of AROs.
Candidates will be tested as stated below during the Phase II.
Physical Fitness Test:
Physical Measurement Test (At Rally Site):
Physical measurement will be carried out as per the laid down Region based and Category wise Physical standards. Relaxation for physical measurement will be accepted based on authorized supporting documents.
Adaptability Test:
All candidates who qualify the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT) will have to undertake Adaptability Test as per policy in vogue. Adaptability Test is for selection of candidates who can adapt to the environment of the Indian Army and are able to adapt to the challenges of military life. Those candidates who qualify the Adaptability Test will be eligible for Medical examination & further recruitment process. Those candidate who do not qualify the Adaptability Test will not be allowed for further participation in recruitment process. Adaptability Test will be conducted on a Tablet / Mobile phone. It will consist of question answers for which there is no fixed syllabus.
Medical Examination:
(i) Medical examination of candidates who qualify in Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test and Adaptability Test will be conducted by Army Medical Team at the Rally site as per Army Medical standards and policy in vogue on the subject issue.
(ii) Candidates declared unfit at the rally site will be given an opportunity for a review by a Specialist at Military Hospital (MH)/ Base Hospital (BH)/ Command Hospital (CH). Desirous candidates who wish to avail the opportunity of Review Medical Examination ie review by specialist will have to report to the designated Military Hospital (MH)/ Base Hospital (BH)/ Command Hospital (CH). Candidate will be required to report to the MH/ BH/ CH on a date fixed by the Medical Officer after conduct of Medical examination at the rally site. The location of MH/ BH/ CH will be informed to the candidate through either e-Mail/ SMS by the ARO/ Medical Officer.
(iii) The recruitment medical officer and the specialist doctors of Armed Forces are the final authorities on declaring a candidate fit or unfit during initial medical examination. Review medical examination and medical examination prior to enrollment. The candidates shall be governed by Army standards which may be at variance from civil standards. There is no provision for representation or appeal or re-review after the Review Medical examination.
(iv) Passing in the medical examination is not a guarantee for employment in Indian Army.
(v) Candidates are advised in their own interest to undergo medical exam before coming for selection especially with respect to flat foot, poor vision, deformities and physical measurements. All are advised to ensure that their ears are free of wax by getting it cleaned by a doctor prior to the rally.
(vi) If 270 days or more lapse between screening medical at the rally and despatch, medical will be done again and unfit candidates in this review will not be recruited.
(vii) Use of contact lenses is not permitted.
