Historical & Antiquarian Studies Recruitment
1. Supervisor
No of posts: 5
Educational Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in History / Archaeology Anthropology / Sanskrit / Assamese / Geography / Museology or allied subjects from a recognized university with a minimum of 3 years of experience in field research, heritage documentation, or cultural project coordination. (Master’s degree will be preferred).
Age Limit: 35 – 60 years
Monthly fixed Remuneration: Rs 30000/-
2. Documentation & Conservation Expert
No of posts: 5
Educational Qualification & Experience: Master’s Degree in History / Sanskrit / Archaeology / Library & Information Science / Museology / Archival Studies/ Art History/ Chemistry with a minimum of 3 years of experience in manuscript documentation, archival work, or cultural heritage projects. Ability to read old Assamese, Sanskrit, or Tai-Ahom and other Tai scripts.
Age Limit: 35- 55 years
Monthly fixed Remuneration: Rs 25000/-
3. Field Investigator
No of posts: 40
Educational Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in History / Sanskrit Assamese / Anthropology /Archaeology / Folklore or related disciplines. Preference will be given to candidates with prior fieldwork experience in cultural documentation or community- based research with a willingness to travel extensively across rural and remote areas.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years
Monthly fixed Remuneration: Rs 20000/-
4. Photographer
No of posts: 2
Educational Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in photography, Videographer, Media Production, Visual communication or related disciplines from a recognized institution with at least 2 years of professional experience in photography/ videography, preferably in cultural, heritage, or academic documentation projects with experience in handling DSLR cameras, lighting equipment, audio gear, and post-processing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Premiere Pro, or equivalent).
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years
Monthly fixed Remuneration: Rs 20000/-
5. Assistant Conservator/ Preservator
No of posts: 2
Educational Qualification & Experience: Master’s or Diploma degree in Conservation, Preservation, Museology, Art Conservation, Heritage Studies, Chemistry, Material Science, or Library and Information Science with specialization in conservation/preservation. Minimum 1-3 years of practical experience in the field of conservation/preservation of manuscripts, documents, or artworks. Hands-on work with palm-leaf manuscripts, sanchi-pat, paper manuscripts, and indigenous materials preferred.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years
Monthly fixed Remuneration: Rs 30000/-
